Dendrobium infundibulum Lindl.1859 is an epiphytic growing orchid species, found at altitudes up to 2300 meters in the Himalayas, India (Assam), Myanmar (formerly Burma), Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. The beautiful, white flowers are born on elder, leafless canes and get a size of up to 10 cm in diameter. Flowering period; Spring - Summer. Dendrobium infundibulum orchids are protected by CITES Appendix II (trade controlled to avoid use incompatible with species survival). The tropical orchid requires cool to warm temperatures and a medium amount of light. Plants should be kept moist, but not sogging wet, during the growth season. During the winter rest waterings should be decreased a lot. To induce blooming Dendrobium infundibulum needs a dry dormancy
with cold temperatures.
